Which boiler brand should I choose?

We install all major brands including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, and more. We'll recommend the best fit for your budget, home size, and hot water demand — with no bias towards any particular brand.

How do I know which boiler type I need?

Accepted Answer

The right boiler type depends on your home size, number of bathrooms, and existing pipework. Combi boilers suit most modern homes and flats. System or regular boilers work better for larger homes with higher hot water demand. We'll advise you honestly after assessing your property.

How long does a boiler installation take?

Most standard boiler replacements are completed in a single day — typically 4 to 8 hours. More complex installations involving system changes or additional pipework may take longer, and we'll always let you know in advance.

Will I be without heating or hot water?

Accepted Answer

Yes, briefly — while the old boiler is removed and the new one commissioned. This is unavoidable but we work efficiently to keep downtime as short as possible. By the end of installation day, your heating and hot water will be fully restored.

Do I need to be home during the installation?

Yes, someone over 18 should be present throughout the installation. This is for safety and also so we can walk you through the new controls and answer any questions before we leave.

What warranty do I get?

All Epic Boilers installations come with an up to 10-year manufacturer warranty on parts and labour. The warranty is registered with the manufacturer on the day of installation — you don't need to do anything.

How soon should I book my first service?

Most manufacturers require an annual service to keep the warranty valid. We recommend booking your first service 12 months after installation. As an Epic Boilers customer, we'll send you a reminder when it's due — and our annual service is just £79.

Question 9

Is my new boiler registered with Gas Safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every Epic Boilers installation is carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer and is notified to Building Control as required by law. You'll receive a Gas Safe certificate on the day of installation.
